The Person Behind
the Code

Engineer by trade, curious by nature.
Based in New Jersey, building things that matter.

Twenty years, one continuous thread.

Born and raised in India, I began my engineering journey in Coimbatore studying Computer Science at Karunya Institute of Technology. After graduating in 2006, I joined Infosys and quickly found myself working with Fortune 500 companies — Nike, Comcast, Baker Hughes, AOL — across the US. I never looked back.

Over 20 years, I've gone deep — from protocol conformance and device diagnostics to defining AI strategy for one of America's largest carriers. Today I live in New Jersey with my family, still pushing forward, still building things that matter.

The anchor that keeps everything grounded.

My family is everything. Monisha, my wife, has been my steadiest supporter through every late-night architecture review, every product launch, every pivot. She keeps the world turning at home so I can keep building at work.

Our son Thugil Iniyan, born June 11, 2024, has already changed how I think about everything I build. Every platform, every system, every product decision — I now think about the world he'll grow up in. It's the best kind of motivation.

There's a clarity that comes from stepping away from a complex system design and just being present at home. It recalibrates everything. It reminds me that technology is a means, not an end.

Curiosity

I'm never done learning. From 3GPP specs to generative AI, I stay curious. The day I think I know enough is the day I stop being useful.

📡

Impact at Scale

I'm drawn to problems that matter — the kind where your solution reaches millions. Scale isn't just a technical constraint, it's a responsibility.

⚙️

Craft

I care about the details. Good code, good design, good communication — all the same discipline. Sloppy thinking in one area bleeds into the others.

🌱

Leadership

I want to build great engineers, not just great products. The next chapter is about that. Investing in people compounds in ways that architecture never can.

Beyond the terminal.

Twenty years of engineering has taught me one thing: the best ideas don't come from staring at a screen.

I believe the best engineers are the ones who understand the human problem before the technical one. Platforms don't fail because of bad code — they fail because someone stopped listening to the people using them.

Open to conversations. I'm happy to talk about engineering leadership, platform architecture, and where AI is taking the industry. Not looking to move right now, but always interested in connecting with people who are building things that matter.
